What is Partial Discharge Testing?

is a diagnostic method used to detect small electrical discharges that occur inside insulation of high-voltage equipment.

These tiny discharges do not completely bridge the insulation, but over time they damage it and can lead to:

  • Equipment failure

  • Transformer breakdown

  • Switchgear explosions
